Wardrobes for children's and teenagers' rooms

Wardrobes for children's and teenagers' rooms — two-, three- and four-door, and in the Ballerina collection a sliding-door model that needs no clearance to open.

Widths from 93 to 180 cm at around two metres tall, so there is something for a narrow alcove and something for a whole wall. Inside, a hanging rail and shelves for folded clothes.

How many doors

A two-door wardrobe is enough while a child's clothes still fit on one rail — usually until the early school years. The three-door is the most common version here and normally adds a shelved section beside the hanging space, so folded jumpers do not have to end up in a chest of drawers. The four-door Alacati is a wardrobe for a teenager's whole wardrobe, coats and bedding included.

A wardrobe in a small room

A hinged door needs around half a metre of clear floor in front of it — in a narrow room that is often the same floor the bed is standing on. The sliding-door model in the Ballerina collection avoids this: the doors travel along the front, so the wardrobe can face the bed and still open.

Height, and what goes on top

The wardrobes in this category are 200 to 222 cm tall. The top shelf is out of a child's reach, and that is the point of it: bedding goes there, along with last season's clothes and anything that should disappear from the room rather than from the house. Measure the ceiling before buying — under a low ceiling or a sloped one, every centimetre counts.

Finish and collections

All the wardrobes are furniture board with an antibacterial and hypoallergenic coating. Every collection has one, so the wardrobe can be matched to the bed and desk already in the room — from Frozen and SpiderMan to Vintage Mode, Irony and Campus.

Common questions

How many doors should a child's wardrobe have?

Two doors are enough while clothes still fit on one rail — usually until the early school years. The three-door, the most common here, normally adds a shelved section beside the hanging space. The four-door Alacati is a wardrobe for a teenager's whole wardrobe.

Which wardrobe for a narrow room?

A hinged door needs about half a metre of clear floor in front of it. If that floor is not there, the sliding-door model in the Ballerina collection opens without it — the doors travel along the front.

How tall are these wardrobes?

200 to 222 cm. Under a low or sloping ceiling it is worth measuring before buying: there is more than 20 cm between the lowest and the tallest model.
